 This is called the Point of sail.

Regions for different rig settings
The first diagram is to distinguish the several basic ways of sailing. and how according to your direction you are suppose to set the Main Sail and Jib.
This example shows the heading of the boat and settings of the main sail and jib and how much slack you should give the sails according to the direction of the wind.

What is UniKL MIMET Sailing Club all about

UniKL MIMET Sailing Club or in Malay UniKL MIMET Kelab Perahu Layar
is a club for students who wish to take part in Competetive Sailing.

This Club will allow those who have never had the opportunity to sail to learn and Insyallah we shall allow those who wants to compete in national or even international regattas by providing proper training and certification to be a Regatta Racer or even a Olympian.
Yes! Laser Sailing is competed in the Olimpics.
